Deb Webber was right: VIDEO proof

Postby ryan14 on Tue Oct 13, 2009 4:16 pm

Deb Webber was right when she said Aisling was in a "ditch, hole, in, fallen". Those were her exact words and you can watch the video to see for yourself:

http://tvnz.co.nz/breakfast-news/deb-webber-real-life-ghost-whisperer-7-04-3050960/video

The host first mentioned the Aisling case as you can see in the video. Deb didn't mention it first. So for those who said Deb shouldn't have brought up the case, Deb didn't, the host did. The host is not a mind reader or a psychic so he may not have known Aisling's family would be offended by it.(I wouldn't).

Deb couldn't elaborate on it more because the host asked her another question as you can see in the video.

A drain can be described as a hole. Like if a person was in a prison cell you could describe it as a "locked room".

There is no mention on Deb's website debwebber.com.au that everything she predicts is 100% accurate. No mention in the video that Deb actually went to the street Aisling was at, she just said she saw it on the news.

As for whether the host was right or wrong for bringing up the case. Some may say it's wrong, some people like me say it's OK because it wasn't a psychic plucked randomly from the street and there was lots of time for those that didn't want to hear what Deb was about to say about Aisling to Mute your TV or change the channel or cover your ears. No one forced you to listen to it. If you don't like psychics, why were you watching the interview at all then?

By that logic then, I was also right.

Am I psychic?

i never said Deb was a psychic. I said she was right. She was right in what she said, so it could mean she is a psychic OR it could mean it was a good guess and she's not a psychic.

Cool, clear on that.

I still argue that ditch and drain are two different things - small differences - but with bigger implications.

Eh, isn't there already two threads about this?

Paul Henry was definately wrong to ask Deb Webber about the case.

TVNZ was wrong to bring up Deb Webber's name at a Police press conference and for attempting to get Deb Webber in touch with the family.

Deb Webber's fault lies in not distancing herself from the actions of TVNZ and not refusing to discuss the case once asked by Paul Henry.

All it would have taken was a simple 'I'm sorry but I don't comment on cases unless I am asked to by family members and/or Police. My services are available if required'.

The fact that she allowed herself to be drawn in to this shows her in a bad light in many people's eyes.

Just wondering....what would you call a ditch ...in the shape of a hole?

I think the fact Deb has been proven correct has actually increased her believability Gos...and I think it is that fact that is annoying the sceptics more.

What's annoying is that somebody can be so general about something, and so many people take that as laser-like precision. (Like the Colin Fry show I was so unfortunate to stumble across last night, ugh)

Proven, how? I guessed something similar, is that proof of psychic ability? A claim as extraordinary as that requires a lot more than blind faith and taking someone's word for it.

A ditch or a hole, that's what I'd call it. Maybe a trench? Definitely not a drain.

I think they're grasping at straws Blondiema - wouldn't matter if Deb (say in another scenario) went precisely to a certain spot, described everything 100% before any evidence was found, it would be classed as just pure luck, or just chance.

If you were a renowned psychic King...I am sure your 'hunch' may have been taken seriously by some also.

Deb...is where she is through what she has done..and not all of that could be put down to luck, fraud, guesswork and cold reading....As I said previously...there are only a few really good psychics and their profiling skills should be utilised at the very least....regardless of the origin of that ability.

Actually the only way we would know for sure...is if our 3 loved psychics were put to work as part of a crime investigation team......In current cases...surely their lack of ability [ or otherwise] would become known after a short amount of time.

Nice try but a ditch is not where Aisling was found
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/ditch
1. a long, narrow excavation made in the ground by digging, as for draining or irrigating land; trench.
2. any open passage or trench, as a natural channel or waterway.

The drain was a closed passage which was why she was so hard to find.

What about the manhole? Deb said ditch, hole, fallen.

If you search define ditch, drain is listed as a synonym.

I think it is splitting hairs re - ditch & drain.

I guess if she'd said drain it would have not been precise enough either. It was after all a storm water drain!

And there is such a thing as an open drain too. Basically a ditch!

No it's not splitting hairs. Go and ask people what a ditch is and no one will come up with a closed drain because that's not what a ditch is.

Alot of the sceptics are saying here that Deb said "ditch", but you forget to point out that she said "hole" aswell. If you watch sensing murder tv shows you see the psychics take time to get all the information, like when they try to find out a spirit's age they say " she's over 40, maybe 41 maybe 42, 43 that's the age ".
So "ditch" may be what she got at first but then as she thought a bit more she got "hole". Or maybe Deb doesn't know the correct definition of "ditch" so hole and ditch may mean the same thing to her.

you're write Ryan.. they are picking just one word.. never mind.. who knows.. maybe where we can't see on the vid or photos on tv there is a wee bit of a "ditch" as well... maybe she was near a ditch beforehand out the front...she did fall in a hole. Thats good enough for me too Ryan.

Leenie i never said Deb is a psychic. If someone asked Deb whats 2+2 and she said 4, she would be correct wouldn't she?, so it could mean she knew the answer or just took a guess, BUT even if it was a guess, the answer "4" would still be correct. So Deb said the baby was in a hole and she was correct, so it doesn't mean she's a psychic but she was still correct.
